DJO Surgical Contributing Surgeons

DJO Surgical believes that some of the best developments in orthopedics and, consequently, orthopedic patient care, come from surgeons who are actively involved in the design and development of orthopedic products. Therefore, we consult with various surgeons with expertise in the area of orthopedics to assist us in developing new technologies, improving existing technologies, training new surgeons, and gathering data on the performance of our products. In most cases, we pay these surgeons who assist us on an hourly basis for their work and/or pay royalties to surgeons who help design our products. We also license developed technology from surgeons and other healthcare professionals and organizations and pay royalties, license fees, and other compensation for those rights.

DJO Surgical’s history of working with surgeons and other healthcare professionals has brought innovative products to the market such as our 3DKnee and Revelation Hip. This work helps improve our patients’ lives, relieving pain and restoring mobility and would not have been possible without our collaboration. However, we also understand the importance of disclosing our relationships to our patients. The following link provides a list of all Surgeons who performed work in 2008 for DJO Surgical related to our hip and knee products and received compensation from us. DJO Surgical continues to work with many of these i4ndividuals and expects to compensate them for that work going forward and/or reimburse them for their expenses. DJO Confidential Compliance Hotline

As part of DJO’s commitment to transparency regarding laws and regulations and to maintain a safe and secure workplace, the Company has established a hotline for individuals to report illegal, unethical or unsafe situations. The hotline provides an anonymous method, if the individual so chooses, to report any instances of misconduct regarding the Company’s finances or other business situations.
